We LOVE to celebrate in the Northside with annual mercados, festivals, tours, workshops, and National Night Out parties.
Tour de Northside - SEPTEMBER 17th 2016
Come and explore one of Houston’s most historic and cultural neighborhoods, the Northside, at the 2017 Tour de Northside community bike ride.
This 15-mile bike tour will take place inside the city’s inner loop just north of downtown. The tour will guide you through some the most vibrant spots of the Northside.
The Northside is in the midst of a transformation to a more vibrant community offering transportation through the Metro Light Rail system, new homes, business options, jobs and recreational spaces to residents. Come and join over 300 riders and event participants tour this vibrant community!
Worried about riding 15 miles? That’s okay! We’ve got you covered! You can complete a 6-8 mile ride that will lead you to the Mercado de Northside. The bike tour will have designated “selfie” spots (for #hash-tagging), such as artistic murals and landmarks, which will also act as courtesy transportation/pick-up spots for riders who chose or are unable to complete the 15-mile ride.
And if a 15-mile bike tour isn’t exciting enough, join us for an end of tour, family fun Mercado de Northside (Art Market)! Featuring prizes, vendors, food, and much more!
